My relationship with music began long before I understood anything about audio equipment. As a child, I fell asleep to the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, and Eric Clapton pouring from my father’s Klipsch La Scalas. Paul McCartney provided the soundtrack to family road trips, while at home I watched an ongoing dance between my parents as my mother chased my father and his ever-evolving stereo system from room to room and house to house.
Into The HiFi grew from those memories and from a lifelong love of the ritual of listening: choosing a record, settling into a room, and giving the music your full attention. My goal is to help people create the listening space that feels right for them, whether it is a solitary retreat, a room shared with family, or a welcoming place to gather, entertain, and experience music together.
This contributor has no material financial relationships to disclose beyond their general enthusiasm for hi-fi gear.
