The Schiit Modi 5 is a USB-powered standalone DAC that uses Schiit's Mesh conversion, combining a proprietary digital filter with an ES9018 delta-sigma modulator. It supports USB (Unison 384, up to 32-bit/384kHz), optical, and coaxial inputs, and its optional AC wall-wart engages a Linear Override mode for higher output; it is designed and built in the USA and sits at the entry level of Schiit's DAC lineup.
